50s GLAM

We spent the weekend photographing classic cars at the Bavarian and Austrian alps and stayed in the Wyndham Grand Hotel near Salzburg. The hotel is located in the pedestrian area, right across from the spa park (what a coincidence) and our room offered a beautiful view of the Alps mountains.

The hotel is styled in a late 50s look which is by the way amazing if you are kind of attached to that period like me. I mean if you are having a drink in the bar at night you are definitely feeling transformed back in a sort of old Hollywood movie. Order a “Tom Collins”, smoke a good cigar, listen to some subdued music and you are the perfect 50s cliché ready to play in a black-and-white film. For that occasion, I chose a black cocktail dress made out of lined lace which has a peter pan collar with tie and short transparent lace sleeves. At the back of the dress there is also a visible zipper which makes it easy to slip in and out. So if you are interested in enjoying a retro flair, this place is definitely worth a visit. “Simply good times” is all I have to say.
