WISHING YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS

Staying cool (metaphorically speaking) and warm at the same time can be challenging during the holidays. You may think the hardest part concerning Christmas shopping is over and you can now proceed to enjoy the holidays. Yes, every year I tend to forget what follows afterwards myself. Visiting your relatives and making small talk with them. Spending too much time in traffic jams than with your family.Eating too much food and gaining weight. But hey Christmas is only once a year and you can always start your New Year’s resolutions with your weight loss plans. Christmas is just a stressful time. Don’t get me wrong – I may seem like a total Grinch with this anti-Christmas attitude but I’m actually not.

During this festive time of the year you can experience a lot of wonderful moments as well. It’s the perfect opportunity to get together with your family if you don’t see them very often throughout the year. You can watch how happy everyone is to open up your presents. You will be happy to open up your own presents. And you can enjoy having a great Christmas dinner.

I’m spending the holidays in Venice this year since it has a wonderful Christmas flair and just seemed perfect for me during the festive season. The pictures were taken during Acqua alta which means high water in Italian and is a term used in Veneto for the exceptional tide peaks that can cause flooding there. I’m wearing a beautiful sweater in light pink which is made out of angora wool. It is extremely soft and keeps you perfectly warm since it also has a cozy turtleneck.
