WEARING FLORAL PRINTS IN SAN GIMIGNANO

So, I’ve been in Tuscany. Again.

Exactly one year ago, I travelled to that wonderful region in Italy and enjoyed it so much that I decided to revisit it. Surprisingly it hasn’t changed that much over the last year except for two things. Last year we took the SL 500 for a spin. This year we decided to raise the bar even higher by driving two black Mercedes to Tuscany:a SL 400 and a S-class EWB (extended wheel base – the longer version).“What could possibly go wrong?” – you may ask, and I can assure you. Nothing really. It was a nice ride even though we had to manage about 700 km to get to our destination but switching between the cars was a playful affair and definitely shortened the time.

The first day we took the SL 400 for our photoshoot to the region around San Gimignano equipped with lots of ESCADA outfits and other accessories. You never know what you will need at the exact moment, so you better be armed with more instead of less. That’s kind of my philosophy.

Anyhow, have you ever been to San Gimignano? It’s a small medieval town, situated on a hill, in the province of Siena and known as the medieval Manhattan of Italy because of its many high towers. The considerably rich residents once compared their wealth by building one higher tower after another in the 14thcentury. Definitely worth a visit.

Floral prints are being reinterpreted time to time again and are also an absolute fashion must-have for 2018. So, it was obvious for me to wear a white blazer with a floral pattern for this particular photoshoot. I even went bold by suiting it up with the matching pants. The great thing about it: you will never look overdressed. I’m also wearing a red shoulder bag which will give you just enough space for your daily essentials. I mean the car should have enough space for your other things, right?
