As you might know, trench coats are my kind of obsession. I mean what is not to love about them? You can wear them at several occasions, whether if it needs to be chic or casual, the trench coat will always go with it. Besides, it is the perfect outerwear piece for transitioning from summer to fall (or sometimes even winter).

This time I didn’t choose a classic colored one in beige from Burberry – I went for a black model from ESCADA instead. As always, the timeless and versatile piece has a double-breasted front with wide lapels but comes with a lace-up detailing along the waist. The coat has also a streamlined fit and is fully lined in satin which makes it even easier to just slip it over.

When I was in Italy, more precisely in Adrara San Martino which is a commune in the province of Bergamo, in Lombardy, and witnessed the sunset there for the first time I immediately put on the black trench coat and went out. This was the perfect time and scenery to take some pictures with this black style icon. And I’m glad I’ve made this decision. The olive groves and vineyards colored by the sunset matched the lace-up trench coat perfectly.
